Columbia, Ca -- At 6:30pm tonight the Hwy 108 Fire Safe Council will host an open meeting at the Columbia Air Attack Base located on Parrots Ferry Rd.
Council President Jerry Tannhauser says the purpose of the event is to discuss fire protection, emergency preparedness and fire prevention measures. It will also serve as a chance for visitors to take a look at many of the resources stationed at the Columbia Air Attack Base. The Fire Safe Council, a volunteer organization, will also be seeking comments from residents to help fire agencies better identify the existing wildland fire threats.
