Sonora, CA -- By a 4-2 Wednesday evening vote the Tuolumne County Planning Commission is recommending the Board of Supervisors deny approval for the Mountain Springs Community project.
Developer Ron Kopf was disappointed with the vote stating that in the last several years Mountain Springs has reached out to the community incorporating a lot of comments and addressing public input. Road conditions at the intersection of Hwy 108 and Lime Kiln Rd. were one major issue. Kopf disagreed with the assertion that the intersection would deteriorate given the increased community development.
Kopf stated the intersection would continue to deteriorate if the Mountain Springs Community is not built but maintains that would not occur if the development is completed because vast improvements would be made during each segment of the buildout stage.
