Correction On Monday's "Sharks vs. Jets" Story

Sonora, CA -- The fight that occured on May 17 took place at Marble Quarry NOT in the area of the River Ranch Campground as earlier reported.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office has corrected its original press release which stated that, "On 5-17-08 at approximately 0330 hours the Sheriff's Office was called by persons reporting a large fight had occured earlier at a party near River Ranch Campground."

The Sheriff's Office is now reporting that the fight actually took place at a remote area that young adults refer to Marble Quarry which is considered a part of Marble Mountain. This area is five to six miles from the River Ranch Campground.

Campground Manager John Feriani adds that his facility has never been the site of such altercations.

An 18 year old male from Twain Harte suffered serious head injuries and was transferred to U.C. Davis Medical Center from Sonora Regional Medical Center.
