Hwy 108-Stockton Rd. Traffic Fatality Identified

Sonora, CA -- The individual killed in that single vehicle accident near the intersection of Hwy 108 and Stockton Rd. (Hwy 49) has been positively identified as 22 year old Holly Corinne Hanson of Oakdale.

As for the driver of the vehicle, 23 year old Ricky Joseph Chavez, Jr. of Oakdale has been charged with felony DUI with great bodily injury/death, hit and run resulting in death, evading a peace officer, causing serious injury, gross vehicular manslaughter and obstructing/resisting a peace officer. Chavez was booked into the County Jail at 6:30am following medical treatment.

Bail on those charges is $600,000. He was also booked for a misdemeanor bench warrant from Tuolumne County charging him with failure to appear on drug charges. The bail on that warrant is $200,000.
