Calaveras County Fair Off And Jumping

Angels Camp, CA -- The Junior Miss Calaveras Pageant and Junior Frog Jump were held Saturday as a prelude to the Calaveras County Fair.

Kaylee Sedler of Angels Camp and Mark Twain Elementary captured Queen honors. Morgan Taylor of Murphys was named First Princess while Murphys Lexi Anderson was named Second Princess.

And by virtue of winning the Junior Frog Jump competition Wyatt Kitchell of Angels Camp has automatically qualified for the final round of jumping at the Calaveras County Fair International Frog Jump Championship Sunday, May 18th.

Kitchell's "Billy Bob" jumped 13 feet 11 inches for top honors. Second place went to Kylie Kitchell of Angels Camp. His "Tweety" jumped 12 feet six inches. "Cool Whip" jumped 11 feet 10 inches to present Raychel Nash of Vallecito a third place finish. Hayden Lee of Angels Camp finished fourth thanks to "Bigfoot's" 11 foot eight inch jump. Copper's Luke Eads finished fifth when his frog "Killer" jumped seven feet seven inches.
