Carder-Fereria Arraignment Set For This Afternoon

Sonora, CA -- The arraignment of 20 year old Grace Elizabeth Carder and 19 year old Nicholas Jordan Fereria of Groveland is scheduled to get underway this afternoon at 1:30 in Department One of Tuolumne County Superior Court.

Carder has been "held to answer" for a number of charges. A trial date may be determined this afternoon.

Carder will be tried for the theft, possession and the selling of a controlled substance related to the August 18, 2007 death of Clinton Holt also of Groveland.

According to court documents Carder is charged with petty theft after stealing methodone from cancer patient Marilyn Christine Owen. Carder then supplied the methodone to Holt who had a blood alcohol content of .16, twice California's legal limit, when he died.

Fereria will be tried for possession of a controlled substance.
