Valley Springs Resident Injured In Two Vehicle Collision

San Andreas, CA -- According to the CHP report 79 year old Laverne Stewart of San Andreas was the cause of a two vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Hwy 49 and Russells Rd.

Stewart was in the eastbound lane of Russells Rd. preparing to make a left hand turn onto northbound Hwy 49. Stewart pulled out into the intersection failing to yield the right-of-way to 69 year old Irene Laberge of Valley Springs who was headed southbound on Hwy 49.

Stewart was not injured. Laberge suffered moderate injuries and was admitted to Doctors Hospital in Modesto.
