Sonora, Ca -- The National Weather Service says a winter storm is headed to the region late Wednesday or early Thursday, and will continue through the weekend.
Snow levels should start at 6000 ft., fluctuate between 4-6000 ft. Friday and Saturday, then lowering significantly Saturday night and Sunday. Also expect heavy winds that could make travel very dangerous across the Sierra Nevada, notably the upper elevations.
