Copperopolis Man Arrested Following Dispute

Copperopolis, Ca -- 37-year-old David Scott Odell of Copperopolis is facing charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, vandalism and negligent discharge of a firearm.

According to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department, the arrest stems from a physical altercation earlier this week with some of his neighbors on Little John Rd. in Copperopolis.

When deputies arrived at Odell'sresidence, they heard gunshots. Odell was located and arrested. After being taken into custody, he reportedly shattered a window of a Sheriff's Department patrol vehicle. The alleged incident occurred Sunday evening.
