Stockton Man Arrested Following Incident On Parrots Ferry Rd

Angels Camp, Ca -- A citizen called law enforcement authorities after she believed an individual in a pick-up truck had fired a gun toward her vehicle on Parrots Ferry Rd. Wednesday afternoon during the two o'clock hour.

The victim was able to get the license plate number of the truck and reported it to law enforcement. The CHP did a search, and found that the vehicle had been stolen earlier that day in Lodi.

An officer responded to the area, and located the vehicle at Moaning Cave State Park. Due to the fact of the reporting party's statements regarding the possible use of a hand gun, the officer decided to wait for additional units to arrive on scene.

The driver, Joseph Wayne Pimental of Stockton, was eventually arrested for vehicle theft and driving under the influence. As for the gunshot, it was later discovered that a firecracker had been thrown out the window.
