Rutherford Arrested On Numerous Charges

Sonora, CA -- 23 year old Michael Richard Rutherford of the 22500 block of Longeway Rd. in Sonora was arrested, booked and released by Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Lowry Tuesday.

Rutherford was involved in a disturbance at the Tuolumne Youth Center. Once contact was made a check of records indicated Rutherford had a warrant for his arrest so he was immediately taken into custody.

During transport to the County Jail Rutherford attempted to break out of his handcuffs. Additional deputies responded to restrain Rutherford.

After he was booked he was cited and released on his promise to appear for his court date.
