Sonora, Ca -- A routine traffic stop has resulted in two Twain Harte residents being booked in Tuolumne County Jail.
Earlier this week, 29-year-old Temol McNamara was pulled over by the Sonora Police Department for driving in excess of the speed limit. During the stop, it was determined that McNamara's license was suspended. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a wallet was found that belonged to a third party. McNamara told officers that he had found the wallet the day before.
An officer contacted the owner of the wallet, who stated that it was lost the day before, and that someone had been using his credit card. Officers continued to search the vehicle, and they found a receipt with the victims name on it.
McNamara and 28-year-old Ruth Lundgren, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were arrested.
