Sonora, Ca -- The Christmas season has officially arrived in Sonora.
The 24th annual Sonora Christmas parade was held Friday night. Traditionally taking place the day after Thanksgiving, it serves as a kickoff to the holiday season.
The parade had 73 entries, including U.S. Veterans organizations, the Sonora High Golden Regiment Band, the Sheriff's Posse, local enforcement agencies, classic car clubs, KVML-Star 92.7-KKBN, Santa Claus and others.
The California Highway Patrol gave the blue motorcylcle pictured below the award for best entry.
The Christmas Parade started at the Red Church and traveled to Restano Way.
It again drew crowds from around the Mother Lode and beyond.
