Sonora, Ca -- The Sonora Fire Department is hoping to add some extra cheer to Sonora families this holiday season.
Captain Todd McNeal says a toy and food drive is now underway. Donation barrels are located at City Hall and the Sonora Fire Station where residents can drop off new/unopened toys and non-perishable food items. Proceeds will go the Mountain Women's Resource Center Domestic Violence Shelter.
A special drive by donation event is scheduled for December 7th from noon to five at the Fire Station. You can simply pull up to the station, and firefighters will be on hand to accept the gifts so that you won't even have to step out of the car.
