Sonora, Ca -- Because of spooks and goblins, the Sonora Police Department will have three extra officers on the road Wednesday night.
“The primary thing that the officers will be doing is making sure the trick-or-treaters are able to cross the streets safely and move from house to house,” says Lt. Mark Stinson. “Our biggest problem is traffic, and that is what we normally concentrate on.” Stinson notes that since Halloween falls on a Wednesday, the Police Department is hopeful and optimistic that it will be quiet around Sonora, and very few people will be out trying to cause trouble.
