Sonora, Ca -- The Bureau of Reclamation is hosting a pair of workshops over the next two days to discuss the future of New Melones.
“We're specifically looking for the public's thoughts on opportunities and needs for New Melones,” says Chief Park Ranger Jeff Laird. “That includes recreation and ways that Reclamation can better manage the lands and waters of New Melones.” The first opportunity to attend a workshop is this afternoon from 1-4pm at the New Melones Visitor Center, located at 6850 Studhorse Flat Rd. in Sonora. The second workshop will be held Saturday, from 9am-noon, at the same location. They are both open to the public.
