Friday, September 28, 2007 - 10:00 AM

Sonora, Ca -- According to Coroner Investigations Sergeant Jim Oliver with the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department, a forensic autopsy was conducted yesterday on the body found Monday off Hwy 108 near Jamestown.

There were no obvious signs of trauma present at the autopsy. The body is still unidentified pending an examination of dental and/or DNA records. The cause of death also remains undetermined.

Tissue samples were collected which will be sent to the lab for a toxicological examination. The Sheriff's Department says the results of those examinations typically take 3-6 weeks.
