Week Three Of Prep Football Opens Tonight

Sonora, CA -- Plenty of prep football coming up this weekend.

This evening the 1-1 Sonora Wildcats will play their second game in a row at Merced College. This week's opponent is Golden Valley, a team the 'Cats lost to a year ago 28-27. Tonight's game will be broadcast on STAR 92.7 with the kickoff set for seven o'clock.

1-1 Calaveras will host Ceres. Last year the Redskins won this matchup 21-12.

Also this evening 2-0 Oakdale will host Cardinal Newman from Santa Rosa.

Saturday, 1-1 Summerville travels to Sacramento High. Last year the Bears reigned supreme, 42-27. Two o'clock is the scheduled kickoff on Today's County KKBN (93.5).

In still another Saturday game 2-0 Bret Harte will hit the road to meet Encina of Sacramento at El Camino High School. Bullfrogs have outscored their two opponents 97-18 so far this year. Last year they won this matchup 48-6.
