Three Taken To Hospital Following Hwy 49 AccidentTuesday, July 31, 2007 - 01:25 PM

Mokelumne Hill, Ca -- Three Jackson residents were taken to Mark Twain Saint Josephs Hospital following a collision on Hwy 49 Monday night, north of Gold Rush Lane.
According to the C.H.P., a car driven by 53 year old Richard Moren of Mokelumne Hill was traveling southbound on Hwy 49, when for unknown reasons, he crossed over the solid yellow double lines. Moren's car drifted into the path of a vehicle driven by 31 year old Salvador Alvarez of Jackson. Moren's vehicle proceeded to roll off the shoulder and down a small ravine. Alvarez, and his passengers, 26 year old Juan Alvarez, and 19 year old Arcadio Alvarez reported minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. Moren, also reported minor injuries but did not seek medical aid.
