Former Athletics-Giants Outfielder Arrested In Angels CampFriday, July 27, 2007 - 04:30 PM

Angels Camp, Ca -- Darren Lewis, who played for both the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants in the early 1990's, was arrested in Angels Camp this week for public intoxication.
According to Police Chief Tony Tacheira, officers were dispatched to a restaraunt at the Greenhorn Creek Resort because of a disturbance. Shortly after arriving on scene, Lewis was cited for public intoxication and transported to Calaveras County Jail. The case has been turned over to the District Attorney's Office. Lewis, 39, resides in the Bay Area. He spent 1990 with the Oakland Athletics, and 1991-95 with the San Francisco Giants.
