Sonora Woman Suffers Major Injuries Following Hwy 49/Rawhide Rd Accident

Sonora, Ca -- The CHP says 30 year old April Susan Munroe of Sonora suffered major injuries after her 2003 Toyota Echo collided with a logging truck on Hwy 49 north of Rawhide Rd. this morning.

Munroe was transported by air ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. The extent of Munroe's injuries is not immediately known. The driver of the logging truck, 31 year old Brock Bowman of Camino, was not injured.

The north and south lanes of Hwy 49 were closed for approximately 45 minutes following the accident.
