Hwy 108 Vegetation Fire Near Old Wards Ferry Rd. Overpass Contained

Sonora, CA -- According to CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Craig Conklin the two acre vegation fire on the south side of Hwy 108 west of the Old Wards Ferry Rd. overpass has been contained.

No cause of the fire has been determined.

According to Conklin, CAL FIRE was extremely fortunate in having a full supply of resources to fight this fire in addition to the residential fire an hour earlier in Jamestown and the afternoon vegetation fire on Hwy 108 near the Tulloch Rd. exit.
