Moccasin Fire Grows To 25 Acres

Moccasin, CA -- CAL FIRE's Dennis Townsend reports that the Moccasin fire off Marshes Flat Rd. near the Moccasin Ranch Estates has now spread to approximately 25 acres.

Helicopters, six hand crews, a dozer and the two Columbia Air Base tankers are attempting to establish a line around the fire.

Townsend adds that time is of the essance as winds are expected to pick up in an hour's time.

At this time no structures have been threatened although several engines are in a protective mode of several ranchettes.
