Coyote Sam And His Gang Shoot Up Downtown Sonora

Thursday, April 26, 2007 - 03:45 PM

Sonora, CA -- There was plenty of shootin' in downtown Sonora this afternoon but fortunately not a single drop of blood was spilled.

Coyote Sam and his gang of desperados made their annual appearance riding up Washington Street stopping at Alfredo's Restaurant. Their goal was to bring a halt to the Mother Lode Round Up once and for all. When told that Round Up General Chairman Al O'Brien had said that he and his gang, including the horses, needed a bath along with some serious dental work, Coyote Sam responded, "I agree with that 100% and I'm proud of it."

Once inside Alfredo's, one member of the gang laid "The Big Kiss" on Rodeo Chairman Ty Wivell. After imbibing at the bar for close to an hour the desperados remounted, rounded the corner and headed right back toward Alfredo's where they stole the Mother Lode Round Up's Official "How To" Handbook from Sheriff Jim Mele.

Then it was on to rounding up the queen candidates and kissing as many ladies as possible. As Coyote Sam stated, "When you're a member of my gang, you kiss any lady in sight." When last seen Coyote Sam and his gang were headed southbound on Washington Street already planning their evil deeds for the 51st Mother Lode Round-Up.
