Sonora, CA -- Tuolumne County Public Works is recommending that motorists avoid the upper end of Phoenix Lake Rd. near Longeway and Kewin Mill Rd.
Signs indicate that chains should be in place but an individual or individuals are apparently turning those signs off according T.C.P.W. Spokesperson Carol Jackson. Public Works crews will not be able to sand the upper end of Phoenix Lake Rd. for several hours. C.H.P. officers are detouring the motoring public.
