San Andreas, CA -- Two Calaveras County non-profits will be creating new services after receiving money from Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital.
The hospital's Community Grants Program awarded grants to the Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and the Calaveras Children's Dental Program. The Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth will use the money to develop a pilot program for health issues such as smoking cessation, asthma, and children's health.
The Calaveras Children's Dental Project will expand current services and increase collaborative efforts with State Medicaid organizations. The goal is to increase the number of visits provided by their mobile dental units.
