Sonora Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Minor

Sonora, Ca -- On Thursday afternoon the Sonora Police Department was dispatched to a residence on Bonanza Street regarding the sexual assault of a 12 year old girl, and for a report that the child's parents were threatening to kill the suspect.

When officers arrived at the residence, they spoke with the 12 year old victim and her parents. They also talked with the alleged suspect, who was identified as 35 year old Ronald Scott Lister of Sonora.

According to the Sonora PD, Lister was recently released from prison for identity theft and was staying at the residence on Bonanza St.. The residence is also a half way house.

The victim claims she was sexually assaulted numerous times by the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Tuolumne County Jail.
