Stockton Vehicle Involved In Bizarre Accident

Sonora, CA -- A bizarre accident took place at approximately 8:45 this morning at the intersection of Hwy 108 and Stockton Rd. involving a single vehicle registered out of Stockton.

A white Nissan Altima headed eastbound on Hwy 108 swerved across the westbound lane and hit the rock embankment just west of the Stockton Rd. intersection. The vehicle then hit the Yield sign at the intersection before coming to rest.

The vehicle's occupant, bleeding profusely from the neck, immediately exited the vehicle, crossed the highway and disappeared in the area of Woods Creek.

Sheriff's deputies along with Highway Patrol officers are now searching for the unidentified individual.
