Keystone, Ca -- A truck carrying 9000 lbs. of propane overturned this morning on J-59, five miles south of Highway 120.
The accident was reported around 7am. CHP Officer Tom Wills says the truck was owned by Lone Star Trucking out of Bakersfield and was headed toward the Sonora area to drop off the load. He says it appears the driver allowed the rear trailer to drift onto the shoulder, leading to the rollover.
Wills says that fortunately the contents were not ruptured in the incident. He adds, “We were very fortunate this did not turn into a hazardous material incident.”
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center because of back pain. The company was contacted, and a vehicle came to pick up the propane and haul the truck away .
