Sonora, CA -- The Tuolumne Utilities Board of Directors has terminated negotiations with the Matt Dillon Water Company about taking over the Curtis Creek and Wards Ferry Water District.
The company has been under the focus of the Tuolumne County Dept. of Environmental Health and the California Public Utilities Commission for non-compliance of specified health orders and operational deficiencies. Tuolumne Utilities District Board President Jim Costello says the Board made a final offer and the company turned it down. Negotiations had been taking place since the middle of July.
