Columbia, CA -- Fire destroyed four storage sheds and a trailer this afternoon on S. Gold St. in Columbia directly across the street from the main entrance to Columbia State Historic Park.
The initial alarm was sounded at 2:54pm. Crews from the Columbia Fire Protection District and C.D.F.-Tuolumne County Fire Department responded to the fire which created a tremendous amount of smoke visible in Sonora.
The four structures and the trailer were totally destroyed. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
Also assisting was the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department and the Highway Patrol for traffic control.
