Jamestown, CA -- 33 year old Michael Joseph Solus of Oakdale came out second best in a footrace with Tuolumne County sheriff's deputies Sunday afternoon.
As a result he finds himself in the county jail with no bail. Deputies discovered Solus parked in front of an apartment complex in Jamestown. Solus refused to be searched and attempted to flee only to be subdued and handcuffed. During his attempt to elude deputies, Solus threw a baggie under a vehicle. The deputies retrieved the baggie which contained over 22 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of between $1,500 and $2,000.
Electronic scales and cash were discovered in Solus' vehicle.
