Altaville Resident Killed In Single Vehicle Accident

San Andreas, CA -- An "as yet" unidentified 21 year old Altaville resident, driving a 1991 Ford Probe, was killed Wednesday evening on Hwy 49 north of the Calaveras County line.

As the northbound vehicle exited the New Melones Bridge, it crossed over the southbound lane and struck the natural rock wall. According to C.H.P. reports, the vehicle scaled the rock wall and then returned to ground level rolling over several times ejecting the driver who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name will be released at a later time by the Calaveras county coroner.
