San Andreas, CA -- The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection would like to remind residents that burn permits are still suspended.
CDF passed the suspension back in June making it illegal to burn debris. Campfires are allowed in designated campgrounds.
The Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit Chief Mike Noonan says he was prompted to call for the suspension due to past fire history, dry vegetation and predicted fire weather.
