Fight In West Point Leads To Arrest

West Point, CA -- Three men have been arrested after an assault that sent one man to the hospital Saturday.

Jason Larry Weeks of West Point is recovering from head injuries he sustained after a fight at the intersection of Main and Pine Street in West Point.

The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department says three suspects fled the area before law enforcement arrived on the scene.

The men turned themselves in the next day. Alex Daniel Burley and Robert Ramirez Junior were booked into Calaveras County Jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury. Bail is set at $40,000.

A juvenile was also arrested in connection with the assault and was transported to a juvenile facility. His name is being withheld due to his age.

The 32-year-old Weeks was air lifted to Sutter Roseville Hospital near Sacramento and has since been released.
