Accident Involving Tree Lands West Point Woman In Hospital

West Poingt, CA -- An accident involving a large tree landed a 79-year-old West Point woman in a Modesto hospital with major injuries.

Highway Patrol reports indicate Mary Hertlein may have fallen asleep at the wheel on Highway 26 Wednesday afternoon.

CHP officials say Hertlein's vehicle left the roadway and hit a large tree, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof.
