Arnold Hosts Annual Parade

Arnold , CA -- Highway 4 will be shut down Saturday morning for the annual Independence Day Parade in Arnold.

The theme of this year's parade celebrates the recent designation of the Ebbetts Pass corridor as a National Scenic Byway. Appropriately, former Calaveras Council of Governments Executive Director George Dondero and his wife Nancy will be the parade Grand Marshals. Dondero was largely responsible for getting the byway designated.

The 10 a.m. parade is sponsored by the Greater Arnold Business Association.

Special guests this year are the Army National Guard Band, which will also be putting on a concert immediately following the parade.

Highway 4 will be closed from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. from Country Club Drive to Moran Road.

The parade will end this year at the Cedar Center.
