Teen Facing Charges After Rolling Stolen Truck

Thursday, June 29, 2006 - 01:05 PM

Sheep Ranch, CA -- A 16-year-old boy is facing vehicle theft charges after allegedly stealing a 2001 Ford F-250 Pickup Truck on Wednesday.

The Highway Patrol says the teen was reported as a run away in Fricot City at 9:00am. Reports indicate at 6:00pm the juvenile was traveling west on Main Street in Sheep Ranch when he lost control of the truck, causing it to overturn.

The boy was flown to Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries and later released.

A complaint has been filed through the Calaveras County District Attorney's Office for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and driving while unlicensed.
