Groveland, CA -- At least one out of three suspects is facing burglary charges after stealing cases of beer from a restaurant in Groveland.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department says that on Monday, two suspects, one later identified as Thomas Vallotton, stole 13 cases of beer from the storage area at the back of the restaurant. At the time of the burglary, two suspects were seen carrying beer away from the business and into a blue pickup truck.
Reports indicate a third subject was believed to be waiting in the truck.
Further investigation led deputies to Vallotton, who had been seen acting suspicious inside the restaurant prior to the theft.
Deputies learned Vallotton and at least one other suspect stole the beer and drove it to a party spot described as a wooded location down a dirt road off Deer flat Rd.
The investigation is ongoing.
