Water Heater Starts Monday House Fire

Rancho Calaveras, CA -- The use of a water heater started a fire at a home in Rancho Calaveras Monday.

Fire crews responded to call of a residence on fire at 11:15 a.m.

Officials say the fire was contained to the water heater closet and surrounding drywall and platform.

There were people home at the time, but no one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $1,500.
