Sonora, CA -- The Highway 108 Fire Safe Council is accepting entries for its poster contest.
Fire officials are encouraging anyone under the age of 18 to participate by creating a poster about defensible space around the home. The poster can be drawn or painted in any medium on 11X17 inch paper. Entries must be submitted on May 6th, no later than 10:00am at the Hwy 108 Fire Safe booth in the lower parking lot of Columbia State Park.
The judging will consider two age categories: under 10 and 11 to 18. Prizes will go to winners in both groups.
