Relay For Life Scheduled For This Weekend

Sonora, CA -- Hundreds of Mother Lode residents will be getting their exercise this weekend by participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Both Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties have planned their events to take place starting at 10:00am Saturday.

The 24-hour walk-a-thon raises money for the American Cancer Society.

This year Tuolumne County plans to raise more than $120,000 and Calaveras is on track to raise more than $200,000.

The Tuolumne County event will take place at Summerville High School and the Calaveras County event will be held at Bret Hart High School. For more information visit 2006 Relay for Life.
