Two Groveland Men Assaulted In CopperopolisWednesday, April 26, 2006 - 11:00 AM

Copperopolis, CA -- Two arrests have been made in a weekend assault case.
At 2AM Sunday, James Reynolds and Jason Earlywine of Groveland were assaulted as they walked along O'Byrnes Ferry Road. They were returning home from the Lake Tulloch Resort. Calaveras Sheriff's Deputies searched the area and found and ID belonging to one of the suspects out of Angels Camp. The Angels Camp Police Department found the suspects, Russell Cline and Kyle Beck, who were identified by the victims. Cline and Beck were arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
Cline remains in custody on $25,000 bail. Beck was released on his own recognizance.
A sheriff's report says Reynolds and Earlywine suffered serious bodily injuries in the attack.
