Sonora, CA -- Although there won't be any more comments from the public accepted regarding Tuolumne General Hospital, the Beilenson Hearing has been extended and will continue on May 2nd at 2:00pm.
After more than seven hours and two sessions, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors decided they needed more time to make a decision regarding the fate of TGH.
Anyone driving down Washington Street couldn't miss the TGH supporters, who began the day at Court House Park holding signs, wearing TGH shirts, and shouting at passing cars.
It was standing room only at both sessions, which drew hundreds of residents. More than 120 people spoke to the Board, most in favor of continuing all services at TGH.
Several supporters were concerned that District 3 was not represented and advised the board to let the residents decide with a vote in November.
You can hear the next Board meeting on Tuesday beginning at 9:00am on MyMotherLode.com.
