District Offers Top Position

San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County Water District has made an offer to an unnamed candidate to fill its top position.

The General Manager position was left vacant with the resignation of Alan Turner last year.

Interim General Manager Larry Diamond said the district board is in negotiations with a candidate. He said the board made an offer and the candidate sent back a response to which the board might counter offer.

A closed session will be held Thursday to decide.
