Man's body found in Angels Creek

Angels Camp, CA -- The body of an Angels Camp man has been pulled from the waters of Angels Creek.

Deputy Coroner Keith Rosa said 46-year-old Vernie Baxter drowned sometime Friday or Saturday.

He was found at around 9:20 a.m. Saturday morning. An autopsy was performed Monday.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is underway.
