Sacramento, CA -- The California State Association of Counties board has set its goals for the coming year.
Representatives from each of the state's 58 counties met last week to select the group's legislative priorities. The association represents the counties by lobbying for their priorities at both the state and federal levels.
A few of this year's goals are protecting counties during the state budget process, meeting infrastructure needs and flood control.
The group will also advocate federally on issues involving Indian gaming, Medicaid and telecommunications reform.
