Sonora, CA -- The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in effect until Tuesday morning.
Along with the snow advisory, a flood watch goes into effect this evening. A high wind watch will also be in effect later today. Reports indicate wind gusts of up to 60 MPH are possible tonight. Due to the warm nature of the storm, snow levels will remain at 8,000 feet tonight and lower to 6,500 feet by early Tuesday.
Officials say the snow levels will continue to drop throughout the day. Total snowfall accumulations will range from three to five feet.
Residents are advised to monitor the latest forecasts, be alert for possible flood warnings, and travel as little as possible.
