Sonora, CA -- President Bush's State of the Union address is expected to repackage many of his favorite themes, including the expansion of health savings accounts.
California farmers and ranchers will be listening for his views on several key topics. A California Farm Bureau spokesman says farmers hope the president continues to press for immigration reform that includes an improved “guest worker” program. The Farm Bureau says Bush may also discuss energy and tax issues that will affect family farmers. Several politicians believe the President's message to both parties will be to stop partisanship and negativity.
The State of the Union can be heard live on AM 1450 KVML and MyMotherLode.com starting at 5:00pm.
