TuCare Fundraiser Will Benefit Local Kids

Sonora, CA -- TuCare is looking foreword to an event packed year, thanks to the support of local community members.

Organizers say they sold more tickets than last year for the annual “Pot of Gold Dinner Auction” Friday.

The evening was kicked off with auctions followed by dinner, and an award ceremony.

Members of the group Freedom 21 spoke about the threats from sustainable development and advised guests to educate themselves on the issue.

Organizer Melinda Flemming says the money raised will go toward teaching the youth in the community about natural resources duirng their Tour for Kids Program. Flemming says the event is the biggest fundraiser of the year.
